BOCTAOE

The acronym “BOCTAOE” (which I’ve chosen to pronounce bok-TAY-oh) was created by Scott Adams of Dilbert fame, and the loyal readers of his blog.

It stands for:
“But of course there are obvious exceptions”

If you are lucky enough to be talking to a member of the DNRC, you can safely assume that every statement ends in this silent phrase. Oh, and if you don’t know what the DNRC is, you can be pretty sure you’re an induhvidual.
